Thirrin Freer Stron-In-The-Arm Lindenshield, Wildcat of the North : Thirrin is the princess of Icemark. She is the daughter to King Redrought. She has wild red hair and bright green eyes. Although Thirrin's father, King Redrought wishes for her to be well educated for when she becomes the queen of the Icemark but that is a problem sense she hates the classroom and would rather be training with the Housecarls. In the begining of the novel Thirrin is thirteen years old but at the Yule celebration she becomes fourteen years old. She is named the heir to the throne of the Icemark. After thirrin Father, King Redrought, dies at war against the Polypontian Empire she becomes the Queen of the icemark and has to lead her kingdom to victory against thePolypontian empire and all the kingdoms other enimies. She also meet a warlock named Oskan Witch's Son while roaming the forest. He helps fix up one of her soilders who had been badly injured by a bear. The two teenagers become great friends. She later goes on a journey with him to make allies.
Oskan Witchfather : the son of White Annis. He is a powerful young wizard healer. He lived in a cave in the Great Forest until he met Thirrin after one of her soldiers is injured by a bear. He gives her and her hunting party during a storm. Thirrin liked him, and after she became Queen, he became one of her Royal Advisors. Oskan is very pail and has jet-black hair. While at war against the Polypontian Empire, Oskan risks his life for Thirrin. Oskan learns that his dad is a powerful warlock and wants to meet him to learn more about his special powers.
Redrought Strong-In-The-Arm, Bear of the North : He's the king of Icemark until he dies in battle against the Polypontian Empire, and gives the thrown to Thirrin, his daughter.
Maggiore Totus : Also known as Maggie, Thirrin's tutor/school teacher, but when Thirrin becomes Queen after her father dies at war Maggie becomes a Royal adviser, along with Oskan Witchfather. Maggie uses Science and his former knowledge of war to help Thirrin as she attends to her Queen duties Primplepuss : The royal family's cat loved by King Redrought who grow old throughout this book.
Grimswald : Redrought's adviser
Aunt Elemnestra Celeste, Basilea of the Hypolitan : Thirrin's aunt, the ruler of Hypolitan.. She is married to Olememmnon, Thirrin's uncle. She was killed with her mounted archers in a battle against the Polypontian cannons. She also led the horse archer warriors of the Hypolitan.
Uncle Olememnon : Also known as Ollie. Olememmnon is Thirrin's uncle, is a Hypolitan warrior is Elemnestra Celeste's consort. He is married to Elemnestra until she is killed in a battle against the Polypontian.
The Polypontian Empire : The most powerful kindom because of sheer size. They've never lost a battle until they fought with Icemark and were all killed(Both sides were wiped out and all "gone")
King Grishmak Blood Drinker : The King of the were-wolves. He is found by Thirrin in the Forest and is attacked by her. She send for him and when he arrives in the Icemark kingdom her father orders to kill him, but when Thirrin saves him her convinces his clan become allies with the Icemark kingdom.
Lady Theowin : The old woman who gaurded the south wall from the Polypontian Empire from invading Icemark
Tharaman : The ruler of the Snow Leopards. The fun-loving creature. He enjoys drinking games with Olememnon and Grishmak.
Vampire King and Queen : The undead vampire rulers of the land of the ghost. They become allies to the Icemark kingdom even thought the Icemark kingdom tried to destroy them.
Werewolf People : One of the enemies surrounding Icemark, until they become allies with Thirrin
Holly and Oak Kingdom : A kingdom that also rules over Icemark, and switches out every 2 seasons
